We are so happy that Youngmasters is visiting Šibenik for the first time this year. In collaboration with the Music School of Ivan Lukačić from Šibenik and the friendly pastor Don Krešimir Mateš, young Croatian guitarist Luka Lovreković will play a concert there. Luka is the winner of the second Ida Presti international competition and his recital is the first one of the Prize recitals of the Ida Presti competition. His concert will be held on August 23 at 9 pm in front of the Cathedral Baptisery.
From the early beginnings of his musical career, Luka has been involved in many cultural events and concerts in Croatia and abroad. He has won numerous awards at competitions in Croatia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, at festivals such as Andres Segovia in Velbert, Brussels Guitar Festival and Visee Guitar Festival. In addition, Luka was also awarded the Oscar of Knowledge back in 2017. And in addition to solo success, he has been a member of the award-winning Trio Evocacion together with Ivan Šimatović and Lovro Peretić since 2016.
His recital will feature the pieces of M. Giuliani, M. M. Ponce, J. Rodrigo and A. Ginastera. We are looking forward to his concert and can’t wait to hear all these musical treats that Luka will play in front of the audience in Šibenik.
