Talented pianist Sven Brajković will play a concert tonight for the Samobor’ audience on the MMA Summer stage starting at 8 p.m. This year, he has the honor of playing the Youngmasters Excellence concert, which is, along with the concerts of the Youngmasters Summer school participants, the oldest concert cycle at the Youngmasters Festival. Our festival’s tenth jubilee is special in many ways, and we are so happy that this recital will be played by a young artist from Samobor this year.
Sven Brajković has been attending Youngmasters International Young Musicians’ Summer Class for many years, and this year he will present himself to a wide audience with this recital. He is a fifth-year piano student in the class of Srđan Čaldarović at the Music Academy in Zagreb, where he was awarded the Dean’s (2076/18) and Rector’s (2016/17) awards for special artistic achievements. He is also studying at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he is a second-year student in the class of Alexander Serdar. In 2018, he was awarded the special prize of the Croatian Music Youth for the best Croatian performer at the Jurica Murai Memorial. Moreover, he was awarded eighteen first prizes in more than thirty competitions (such as the 53rd and 57th state competition HDGPP, 10th International Competition of Young Pianists Prague Conservatory, International Piano Competition Banja Luka Biennale and 7. Carinthian piano competition in Slovenia).
We are extremely honored to have this opportunity to listen him performing the works of J.S. Bach, L. van Beethoven, C. Debussy and C.M. von Weber tonight!
